Marketing doesn't stand still. Everything I ever learnt formally studying marketing is pretty much obsolete now, so I'm continually keeping up to date with new developments. How can you be sure you're using the best keywords when you submit your website to the search engines? 

You know you need to find keywords that lots of people are searching on, but the only way to give yourself an advantage on search engines is to find keywords that are not being heavily used by your competitors.

How easy is it to do my own web marketing?

Money paid to a consultant on web marketing is money well spent? Not when you're paying them to do what you can do for free.
 

Why all the mystery that surrounds submitting your website to the search engines. Is it a complicated procedure? How much will you be charged by a consultant?

Is the internet the right place to sell my product? How comfortable are people making that choice?

Research by Dr Didier Soopramanien of Lancaster University Management School shows that people who are happy to buy online are generally happy to buy all kinds of products online. The research focussed on attitudes to buying 2 categories of products - CDs and personal effects - which have very different search and experience attributes and therefore different levels of product-specific risk.
